How to use the rent planner

  1. Use one weekly planning period. Start with the cash available now and the rent you need to pay. Confirm your actual rent deadline in the game.
  2. Keep your work units consistent. Enter the expected pay for one work action, then the number of those actions you expect to complete before rent is due. Use take-home pay if deductions apply.
  3. Include other spending. Add all other costs you expect in the same week. Leaving these out can make a plan look affordable when it is not.
  4. Read the balance and coverage message together. Existing cash can cover a gap even when work income alone cannot cover the week. A negative balance is the amount still needed.
  5. Copy or share the result. The summary includes your assumptions and an unverified-data label. If sharing or automatic copying is unavailable, use the plain-text box.

What the result means

Work income is pay per work action multiplied by planned actions. Total expenses are weekly rent plus other weekly spending. Expected balance is current cash plus work income, minus all those expenses.

A plan covers rent only when cash and projected income cover both the rent and the other expenses entered. The tool also distinguishes plans funded by work income from plans that need existing cash. If you are short, extra work actions are rounded up to a whole action at the pay you entered.

Can I trust the estimate?

The arithmetic uses exact cents for the values you enter. The outcome still depends on your assumptions: work must be available, completed, and paid before rent is due. Changing prices, varying payouts, restrictions, and spending you did not include can change the result. This tool does not predict or change the game.

Use non-negative amounts with at most two decimal places. Work actions must be whole numbers. If your game shows a different pay period, convert it to the same weekly period before entering it. Very large values that cannot be calculated safely are rejected.

Where do the numbers come from?

All inputs come from you. Starting zeros are empty planning placeholders and carry no source or verification date. Your calculations inherit the same unverified status as your inputs. We do not ask for a game account or password, and the calculator does not connect to game services.
